A 1 YEAR PRIMER TO PREPARE FOR THE IGCSE COURSE
If your teen (or pre-teen) is not quite ready for the full IGCSE course, then this might be the answer.
Covering many of the foundations needed for the IGCSE course, this option takes students on a less exam-focused journey through the fundamentals of computing, and gives them a base understanding of what studying computer science might be like. Diana has ensured that the key skills are covered that would have been part of a school-based KS3 computing curriculum. Python programming is an integral part of the course.

- In-person classes will feature hands-on hardware projects.
- Online classes will use Raspberry Pi emulators and web-based coding projects
PRE-IGCSE COSTS
The cost for the pre-IGCSE course is £300, this works out at £10 per week.
Suggested payment plan is £30 per month for 10 months of the year (September - June).

The cost includes:
- All equipment, use of Raspberry Pi computers in the sessions (loans negotiable)
- One-to-one sessions if the students are struggling, have missed sessions, or need some encouragement
- Parent and student email support
- 1 year Grok Academy membership (learn to code in Python, HTML/CSS and more)
- Scholarships and discounts are also available for those on low income, siblings, and special circumstances as for the IGCSE course.
PRE-IGCSE COURSE AVAILABILITY
Pre-IGCSE classes in 2025-25 will take place:
- Tuesdays 2pm - 3pm ONLINE
- Tuesdays 3.30pm - 4.30pm IN PERSON
