NEW - The STEM Club is aimed at secondary age students who are not yet ready for the academic study of the pre-IGCSE primer course. Students will learn to program in Python and build electronic circuits using Raspberry Pi microcomputers.
In each 5 week half-term we work on a self-contained project, consisting of a main task to complete, with additional features to design and build - students will have freedom to be creative and innovative in their solutions!
We may build prototypes, test out different construction methods, work independently or group together. Students are encouraged to follow engineering design principles and keep records in their logbooks.

- Maximum of 6 students in each STEM Club
- All equipment provided:
- No need to bring a laptop, we will use the Raspberry Pi computers
- An engineering logbook will be provided on their first session
- Electronics kits will be loaned to them for the duration of the project
- Students have the option of soldering up their circuit in the final session
- Each STEM Club project runs for 5 weeks in 90 min sessions
- The focus is on Python programming, physical computing projects using Raspberry Pi microcomputers and 'breadboards'
- Features Lego SPIKE Prime robotics and K'NEX Mechanics kits
STEM CLUB COSTS
- The cost is £75 per half-term project, this includes all lesson materials, equipment loan, one-to-one sessions, parent and student email support and coding platform membership
